The Druitt Community Centre Fund would like to thank the following individuals, companies and organisations for their help and support:
We would like to publicly thank Silvia Druitt and Diana Aldridge for accepting our invitation to be patrons of the New Druitt Community Centre project.
The New Druitt Community Centre Fund is rapidly approaching the £100,000 mark. And there are lots of folks to thank for the funds raised to date.
Twenty five (25) local residents and organisations have bought bricks, while 21 other individuals and groups have contributed towards the "Do It For Druitt" community fund raising scheme, raising a total of £17,000. The New Druitt Community Centre project has also received an award of £80,000 from the Talbot Village Trust for site preparation and enabling works and the building and fitting out of the new facility.
The local organisations and companies contributing towards the fund so far are as follows: Christchurch Lion's Club, Christchurch Gun Club, Christchurch Fellowship of Churches, Christchurch U3A, SAMRA, CADArts, Christchurch Roteract, Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water, Stour Surgery, Christchurch Druitt Hall Charity Trust, Christchurch Mayor's Charity Fund, Friars Cliff Residents Association, Pupils of Twynham School, Elizabeth Lodge, Regent Centre, Mudeford and District Men's Club and Institute, Residents of Bure Haven Drive, Stanpit Village Hall and the St George's Day Event organisers.
We also take this opportunity to thank Mr Elliot Newman for the many hours he spent of his own time producing the HD movie of the New Druitt Community Centre. Elliot is a former pupil of the Twynham School and now works in 3D rendering and animation. His help and assistance has been much appreciated with this challenging project.
