Do it for Druitt
Christchurch Community Celebration (CCC) will be held on Saturday 6th June 2009 in Saxon Square & Druitt Gardens, 10 am – 4 pm. It is to be an annual event. The chosen date commemorates the ancient Trinity Fair, which is one of the earliest recorded annual attractions held in the town and helped to fund Christchurch Priory.

We think it’s time to celebrate Christchurch. We live in a beautiful area and have wonderful historical buildings, like The Priory, Place Mill and the Castle. We also have wonderful museums and a thriving theatre/cinema. Most importantly we have a caring and creative community who engage in a wealth of projects, interests and pursuits - yet there’s never been an opportunity for everyone to come together and show off what they do.

This annual event will have a party atmosphere, where individuals and groups can express what they are proud of as part of this community and have fun. To do this, they can join in, show off - or just be there to see stalls, participate in workshops, discussions and activities.

Participation by as many individuals and groups that are part of the community is essential to the success of the event. This year we will be raising funds for something very important to the community, the new Druitt Community Centre.

Look out for more publicity and invitations to join in or contact us @
